Beware Of This Girl...

"Sometimes people haven't apologized because they're ashamed.  Forgive them anyway..."
-Unknown-

Good evening everyone.  I'm just chilling tonight, much as you might expect on a late Sunday evening (of course I've got the football game on, currently Texans 24  Colts 6).  As you probably guessed by tonight's title, I have a warning in store for you.  It seems that we have a chameleon in our midst, and you never know where she's going to show up, or how she's going to look.  I saw this photo posted on facebook yesterday, beneath the caption "Go Cajuns..."

Took a good look at the girl on the right.  We'll call her Ashley (although I'm now wondering if that name is just an alias)...  The Ragin' Cajuns would be the team out of Lafayette, Louisiana (ULL), the same Ragin' Cajuns that beat my alma mater 48-24 earlier in the season (more on that later).  By the way, Texas State (my alma mater) is now BOWL ELIGIBLE after Saturday's 37-21 win at Idaho...  ;)  Back to ULL, Ashley was incidentally rooting them onto victory over Joey's alma mater on Saturday (Final:  ULL 49  New Mexico State 35).  Don't worry Joey - I know where to find her.  She's EVERYWHERE!  Took a look at the picture shown below gang...

Take a GOOD LOOK at the girl on the left...  The hair is different, the wardrobe is OBVIOUSLY different, but that looks a lot like Ashley (or WHATEVER your name is)...  This looks a lot like an LSU tailgate to me, and not a Lafayette parking lot party.  But wait, there's more...

Hmmm...  Front right - she's mixing it up now, with shades on her head, wearing beads, OF COURSE she's sporting a different wardrobe, but it looks A LOT LIKE..., ASHLEY...  Now FAR BE IT FROM ME to pick on ANYBODY, but Ashley did give me permission to poke a little bit of fun at her tonight.  Ashley also happens to be a graduate of Texas State University (and a lifelong Bobcat, so to speak)...  ;)  When I saw the very first photo pictured above yesterday, my question was, "who are you?"  Ash said that she was treated very well by the ULL crowd when she attended the game in Lafayette earlier in the season, and I guess that drinking and eating and football was the best thing that she had to do with her Saturday - SMART GIRL...  :)  Ashley also has ties to the Baton Rouge area, which is the explanation for the middle photo.  Oh, and back to the ULL shirt, I was told to pass along that her grandmother attended Lafayette, and that she did it for her...  ;)  Ashley has evidently caught A LOT OF FLACK for wearing that shirt...

This was the conversation that I was having this morning on facebook as I did my wash (and thanks for being such a good sport Ashley), resting up from yesterday's activities after I spent the day here...

"But wait!" (I can hear you saying it)...  Didn't you post a photo last week from here?

Yeah, and that's EXACTLY what I told Ashley she should have used in her defense...  ;)  Like I said here not too long ago, I did a lot of San Marcos in October, and now the company football team has a lot of home games in November...  The Longhorns (like the Bobcats) also won this week (35-13 over Kansas), so everything is going well football-wise in South Texas (except for my '10 Best Bets,' which are currently at 4-5 for the week)...  C'mon BELLE, we need the UNDER tomorrow night....  :)

So life isn't perfect, but things are getting better, MUCH BETTER than they were a year ago in September...  I still want to get back into shape (the cokes that I cut out early last summer, and then started drinking again at about the time I started my new job and commuting, have been cut out again).  My apartment is kinda-sorta how I want it now, and the weather is not a hundred and (fill in a number) everyday, so I seem to have more energy to do the things that need to be done.  As you're very well aware, I'll keep you up to date...  ;)

Have a great day and I'll see you again on Wednesday!
